Geologist (Associate to Senior level)
Job Description
To identify and assess the location, quantity and quality of mineral deposits, ascertain extraction risks, prepare reports and maps, analyse geological data using specialist computer applications and advise managerial, technical and engineering staff. The work is field-based in mainly Indonesia and Kazakhstan, although some office work may be involved.
Responsibilities
- Investigating the structure and evolution of the earth and its natural resources
- Planning programmes for exploration of sites for oil, gas, water, minerals, etc
- Supervising drilling programs (Diamond & RC drill rigs)
- Surveying and mapping geologically promising sites
- Collecting, recording and analysing samples and data from test sites
- Advising on the development of reserves.
- Absence from home for long periods of time is common. Long hours, shift and weekend work are sometimes required. Field work is mainly based in Indonesia, Kazakhstan and China
Job Specification
- A degree in geology or related disciplines;
- experience in research on ore geology is preferred
Key Competencies

- Good organisational skills;
- Computer literacy and ability to analyse numerical and graphical data;

Marketing Officer
Job Description
To develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. To enhance effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotion activities in the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities
- Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
- Analyse customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
- Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
- Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
- Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
- Determine and manage the marketing budget

Job Specification
- A business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification;

Chief Financial Officer
Responsibilities
To have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, and report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, legal, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. The CFO will base in Vancouver, with frequent travel to Hong Kong and Kazakhstan. Accommodation and travel expense will be provided by the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
- Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Job Specification
- BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
- 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in mining industry.
- IPO experienced required, preferable in TSX
- PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Kingdee) and Excel is preferred.
- High proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is a MUST
